Lookbook

Recent work, in
a quieter register.

Work that left the chairs in the last few months. Hair with Becca, colour with Tasha, brows and skin with Mei. Captions are honest; we say what the appointment was, what got asked for, and what the chair decided.

Service / Hair

Cuts that landed in the chair.

Becca cuts dry, in front of the mirror, in conversation with the client. The shape gets built slowly; the chair always wins.

books out four weeks ahead

All cuts by Becca Holloway. Wednesdays through Saturdays.

Long lived-in shape from behind, soft afternoon light
Long bob with the weight kept in. Client wanted to be able to put it up; she'll have something to grip in three months.
Stylist trimming through ends, scissors mid-cut
Standard cut + style on Saturday morning. Trimmed half an inch off the perimeter, took weight out of the back.
Hands at work braiding a fine plait
Bridal trial. Three braids tested, the smallest one stayed. She brought a photo from 2014 we did not use.

Service / Colour

Colour that reads in three weeks.

Tasha colours slowly, in window light, in foils placed where they'll catch the sun. Tone gets mixed at the chair, adjusted in front of the client, checked every fifteen minutes.

balayage queen. by referral mostly.

All colour by Tasha Lin. Thursdays through Saturdays.

Foils in mid-application on dark hair, gloved hands
Lived-in balayage on a base she hadn't touched in two years. We took it three shades, not the seven she came in asking for.
Tray of small colour swatches on the counter
Consult swatches for a wedding party of five. Three rounds, picked the second-warmest.
Tasha at her colour table mid-mix
Tasha mixing tone for the second pass. Adjusted twice after first review in window light.

Service / Brows

Brows, one hair at a time.

Mei works with tweezers only. The shape gets mapped before any hair gets moved, and the client gets the mirror twice. Tints are mixed two shades lighter than the head it's on.

tweezers only. never wax.

All brow + lash work by Mei Tran. Wednesdays through Saturdays.

Close detail of a freshly shaped brow with soft natural tint
Shape and tint, first appointment. Mapped the natural arch, only took strays from underneath. Tint will read on day two.
Tools laid out on the salon counter at end of day
Tools set out for an evening lash lift. Three rod sizes lined up; we used the smallest two.
Mei at the brow chair adjusting the mirror
Mei handing the mirror across before final tint check. This part is non-negotiable.

Service / Skin

Skin, paced for the week ahead.

Mei builds facials in conversation with the client's calendar. Resurfacing when there is recovery time; hydration when there is not. Actives match the barrier in front of her, not the trend cycle.

the week you have ahead writes the price

Skin work by Mei Tran. By appointment.

Hands smoothing a finishing layer across the cheekbone
Bridal hydration facial, week three of six. Light enzyme, no acids, sheet mask under occlusion for ten minutes.
Salon room corner, afternoon light, neutral palette
The skin room at 3 p.m. on a Wednesday. The music goes off if the client asks for it.
Chair detail, late afternoon, salon interior
Chair waiting between appointments. The next one was a one-pager rewrite, then a resurfacing.
